The King and Queen welcomed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their children to Highgrove House after speculation over whether Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet had travelled to Britain.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla have privately hosted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, according to Truth Times. The family gathering took place after Prince Harry attended a major Invictus Games engagement in Birmingham earlier in the day without his wife or children by his side. Their absence had fuelled questions over whether Meghan and the couple’s children had travelled to the UK, but Truth Times reports they did arrive in Britain and later joined the King and Queen.
The private meeting marks a notable family reunion at the monarch’s Gloucestershire residence, bringing together King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince Harry, Meghan and their two children.
Earlier on the same day, Prince Harry appeared alone in Birmingham for the One Year To Go event marking the countdown to the next Invictus Games. Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were not seen publicly during the engagement, prompting speculation about their whereabouts.
According to Truth Times, those questions were answered later when Their Majesties welcomed the Sussex family to Highgrove House.
No further details about the visit or the discussions held during the private family gathering have been made public.
The reunion comes as Prince Harry continues his public work supporting the Invictus Games, the international sporting competition he founded for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, while also spending time with his family during their reported stay in the UK.
