A 30-year-old Argentine man has been arrested and charged with human trafficking and sexual exploitation after allegedly running an elaborate deception in which he posed as a legitimate film producer to recruit young women into explicit videos — assuring them the footage would never be seen in Argentina, a promise he had no intention of keeping.
Gianfranco Gaspar Núñez operated out of Rosario, using Instagram accounts with names like ArgentinaCasting and GianCasting to contact women aged predominantly between 18 and 22. His pitch was straightforward: around $200 in cash, the promise of professional exposure in the entertainment industry, and an absolute guarantee that any explicit content would only be distributed overseas. Their identities, he assured them, would be safe at home.

Women who agreed signed contracts handing Núñez sweeping rights to edit, sell and distribute the footage however he chose. What they did not know was that he had no intention of honouring his central promise. The videos were uploaded to open adult platforms and spread rapidly — not just internationally, but across Argentina itself. More than 150 explicit videos were eventually seized by investigators. Each one contained the women identifying themselves on camera by their real names, ages and home towns, details that made them instantly recognisable to people in their own communities.
The consequences unravelled quickly and publicly. Women with partners, children and settled lives suddenly found their most intimate moments circulating on the internet among people they knew. Relationships collapsed overnight. Many faced sustained harassment, doxxing and public humiliation across social media. One element that particularly accelerated the spread was a detail that shocked even seasoned online observers: several women appeared in the videos wearing the same clothes they had posted in personal couple photographs with their partners on the same day or within hours of filming. The contrast between the innocent, affectionate images and the explicit content created a viral moment that caused enormous additional damage to those involved.

At least one woman responded defiantly in a public video, asserting her right to make her own choices and vowing to publicly expose anyone who harassed her. The response attracted further scrutiny rather than sympathy from much of the online audience.
The investigation was triggered by an anonymous call to Línea 145, Argentina’s national hotline for human trafficking. Federal prosecutors at PROTEX and the Federal Police traced the casting accounts back to Núñez through phone records, IP addresses and digital evidence. They also uncovered a Telegram group he used to promote and sell the videos commercially. Evidence indicated that some women had not received their full payments, and that the content had been circulated inside Argentina in direct violation of the assurances he had given during recruitment.

Coordinated raids across Rosario, Buenos Aires and Misiones on 27 March 2026 — named Operation Casting para Preso — led to Núñez’s arrest. He was placed in preventive detention for 90 days and faces charges of aggravated human trafficking for sexual exploitation and promotion of prostitution. At least eight victims, most aged 18 or 19, have been formally identified, with the investigation continuing to identify further women affected.
Prosecutors have framed the case not as a matter of consent between adults but as criminal exploitation rooted in deliberate deception. The women signed away their rights based on false information, had no means of controlling distribution once they did so, and suffered serious and lasting harm as a result. Court documents emphasise the power imbalance at the heart of the scheme — Núñez held all the material and all the rights, while the women were left entirely exposed.

The case has drawn international comparisons to the GirlsDoPorn operation in the United States, in which women were similarly misled about how and where explicit footage would be used. The operator of that scheme was sentenced in 2025. Among its many victims was a Miss Delaware Teen USA titleholder who lost her crown after being identified in the videos, while another former beauty pageant contestant launched a lawsuit against Pornhub alleging the platform had profited from footage of her assault.
