Firebrand Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stated that she would be “honored” if 45th U.S. President Donald Trump asked her to join his ticket in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Trump has not formally announced his candidacy yet, but speculations are high that he is coming for the U.S. presidency for the third time.
During a video interview with conservative media network Real America’s Voice, Greene was asked about the idea of her becoming Trump’s running mate in 2024. The Georgia rep stated that she would be honored, and that she would “definitely give that some strong consideration.”
She also shared some strong praise for the 45th U.S. President, noting that she always has and will continue to fight for Trump’s cause, according to a Newsweek report.
“I think if he asked me, I would definitely give that some strong consideration. I love President Trump. I never hide that fact. I think he’s wonderful. I have a great relationship with him. I talk to him frequently,” Greene said.
“I’m so thankful for him and his family, as we all are, and I defend him all the time. I swear I would fight for that man because he fought for us, and that’s the kind of president we need back, and if he were to ask me, of course, I would be honored.”
Interestingly enough, Greene was recently seen at a Saudi-funded golf tournament held in Donald Trump’s Bedminster resort in New Jersey. Photos of the event showed Greene bonding with Donald Trump, together with a number of notable conservatives such as Fox News host Tucker Carlson, as well as other members of the Trump family.
