In what could be considered as yet another victory for 45th U.S. President Donald Trump, the Wisconsin Supreme Court issued a ruling on Friday stating that unmanned absentee ballot drop boxes are actually illegal under Wisconsin election law.
According to a report from The Federalist, the Wisconsin High Court reached its decision with a 4-3 vote.
“An absentee ballot must be returned by mail or the voter must personally deliver it to the municipal clerk at the clerk’s office or a designated alternate site.
“The record evidence [the Wisconsin Elections Commission] cited does not support its argument that ballot drop boxes have been in common and longstanding use in this state,” the court wrote.
The ruling on Friday came as a result of a lawsuit filed by the Thomas More Society on behalf of state voters in May. The group took legal action against Green Bay, Kenosha, Madison, Milwaukee, and Racine for their illegal use of unmanned absentee ballot drop boxes during the 2020 election.
Despite the victory, however, Thomas More Society Special Counsel Erick Kaardal highlighted that the fight is far from over, as there is still a lot of 2020 election shenanigans to call out.
“This decision reveals just the tip of the iceberg of Wisconsin’s election integrity problems. And the worst of it is that it was all coordinated with the blessing of the Wisconsin Elections Commission,” Kaardal said.
45th U.S. President Donald Trump has long been skeptical of the results of the 2020 presidential election. The use of unmanned absentee ballot boxes has been one of the key factors in the election that Trump has called out.
The mainstream media has largely dismissed Trump’s doubts. But if the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decision is anything to go by, it seems that Trump was really onto something.
Step by step, the lies about the 2020 election seem to be unraveling.
