Bittersweet: 83-Year-Old Man Shares Every Moment He Has Left With Newly-Born Son

AwwsomeBittersweet: 83-Year-Old Man Shares Every Moment He Has Left With Newly-Born Son

“I am an 83-year-old dad – I’ve just had a son with my wife, 35, but I live knowing I will never get to see him grow up.”

Dr. Alberto Cormillot, 83, a nutrition expert, is on a mission to spend every living moment he has and create memories with his newly-born son, Emilio.

Emilio came to the world after Cormillot’s wife, Estefania Pasquini, 35, went through fertility treatment and got pregnant.

From then on he has become involved in raising his son while he still can.

Cormillot said thru The Sun, “I’m aware that life is not infinite. That little guy’s here and I’m going to accompany him until a certain moment. Until that happens I plan to enjoy every day to the fullest and make plans that are more short-term, which means I enjoy every day as fully as I can.”

With this constantly in his mind, Cormillot makes an effort to create memories each time he and his son are together. It’s his souvenirs that hopefully Emilio holds on to for life.

The 83-year-old dad also leaves audio and video messages for his son thru WhatsApp; pieces of information that could serve as guides as the tot grows up.

“I don’t over-dramatize things, I just record the reality of life,” Cormillot said.

Emilio’s future has been carefully planned by his parents once they found out that he is on the way.

The couple has hired a private Chinese language tutor for their son because Dr. Cormillot was convinced that it’s the “language of the future,” The Sun reports.

The baby seems to enjoy creating music with his father as well.

Cormillot spends a lot of time teaching his boy songs from his childhood; songs that he hopes would stay with his son until his time comes.

Such a melancholic take on life.
