The Big Tech censorship saga is getting more and more interesting, especially after Breaking Points co-host Saagar Enjeti tweeted about how Twitter’s Legal, Policy and Trust Lead Vijaya Gadde was crying during a recent meeting. Her reason? Elon Musk just bought the social media platform.
Gadde happens to be one of the individuals behind the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story. She also appeared in the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast in an episode that also featured Tim Pool and Jack Dorsey. In her segment, Gadde discussed Twitter’s censorship policies.
The Hunter Biden laptop story made headlines in the lead up to the 2020 elections. Published by The New York Post, the story outlined the existence of the device, which reportedly contained emails, messages, photos, and documents that pointed to the Biden family’s foreign business dealings. Twitter censored the story.
Elon Musk, who recently acquired Twitter in a $44 billion deal, stated that the censorship of the article was “incredibly inappropriate. “Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate,” he wrote.
The fake news media did not waste time trying to pin the blame on Enjeti and Musk. The Washington Post promptly published an article accusing Musk of “targeting” an individual despite the CEO not mentioning Gadde by name. Enjeti, on the other hand, was not even given time to comment on the story because the WaPo asked for his statement at two in the morning.
Little by little, the corruption behind Twitter’s censorship and biases is unraveling.
